There are multiple links to animal health from and through the gastrointestinal tract and the microbiome. Though a complex topic, the new technology makes exploration of the microbiota both logical and easy to relate to the phenotype. Using our large population data -base of over 6,000 animals including cats, dogs, horses, Macaws, guinea pigs, cattle and chickens, we can offer advice on numerous gastrointestinal imbalances (dysbiosis) and restoration therapies. In the last ten years, we have collaborated on numerous research projects together with a world renowned animal research group based at the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Studies at Aberystwyth. We use an AI platform that identifies complex patterns and profiles within the microbiome of animals with diseases plus a library of analyses to draw from. Discussions can be general ie nutritional, microbiome breed specific, or diets to remedy behavioural disorders, and/ or can relate to clients that have taken the Petbiome test. We can also give advice reference the formulation of new products and services based on the microbiome.
